Cross Country League
Welcome to the 2025/26 East Sussex Sunday Cross Country League! The ESSCCL League consists of 18 teams compiled from 23 clubs (some teams are made up from two or three clubs). Each season there are six cross country events are organised each of approximately five miles. The season runs from October to March, Events are approximately once a month usually with three before Christmas and three after. Below you'll find a list of races followed by FAQ's.

Whitbread Hollow, Eastbourne | 8th Feb, 2026 | Beachy Head route. Hilly Down land with a challenging uphill. |
Seaford Head, Seaford | 11th Jan, 2026 | New course this year. Single lap hilly. |
Whitbread Hollow, Eastbourne | 14th Dec, 2025 | 3 laps undulating. Tends to not be muddy but chalk based so can be slippery. Generally suitable for spikes but there are some gravelly sections. |
Snape Wood, Wadhurst | 23rd Nov 2025 | Two lap course very muddy in places hilly. Some gravel sections but generally suitable for spikes |
Blackcap, Lewes | 12th Oct 2025 | Single lap hilly. Chalk downland so does not tend to be too muddy. |
