Get to Know Your Welfare Team

Running is as much about people as it is about pace. Ian and Claire are here to make sure every member of Peacehaven Run Club feels safe, supported and included - on the run and off it.

Lead Welfare

Ian

A few warm, personal sentences — how long Ian's been a member, why he took on the role, what he's like at a run. Keep it human, not a job description.

What 'welfare' means at Peacehaven

Our welfare officers are a listening ear and a point of contact for any member — whether something's affecting your running, your experience at the club, or just life in general. You don't need a "big" problem to reach out. No concern is too small.

When You Might Reach Out

You're new and feeling unsure about fitting in

Something happened at a session that didn't sit right with you

You're going through a tough time outside of running

You just want to chat something through with someone outside the group

Confidential, Always

Anything you share with Ian or Claire stays between you and them, unless you ask for it to go further. Reaching out is always your choice, and always in confidence.
